Submissions Call

Do you write science fiction, fantasy, or a blend of the two? Do you have a story between 2500-10,000 words? Then you may be interested in Wild Child Publishing's new science fiction/fantasy anthology titled Star Stepping: A Collection of Science Fiction/Fantasy Stories.

We are looking for mainstream science fiction (soft, hard or anywhere in between) and fantasy. Any planet, any time, any dimension as long as the story is science fiction or fantasy. Combining the two genres or combining one of the genres with another is also acceptable. New stories as well as reprints, provided the author owns the rights, will be accepted. No fan fiction, erotica, or copycat, please.

Please submit stories to: scififantasyanth@wildchildpublishing.com with "Science Fiction Anthology Submission" in the subject line. Please read our submission guidelines: http://www.wildchildpublishing.com/content/view/32/100/.

Submissions will be open from October 1 - December 15, 2007.

Submissions Call

Wild Child Publishing and its subsidiary, Freya's Bower, are open to submissions. Interested in well-written, entertaining stories, Wild Child Publishing and Freya's Bower publish a wide variety of genres. While Wild Child Publishing focuses on mainstream fiction and non-fiction, Freya's Bower publishes romance and erotica.

Wild Child Publishing would love to see more mainstream romance, mystery, westerns, historical fiction, science fiction/fantasy, and suspense. Wild Child Publishing has also started a line of Biker Fiction, not seen anywhere else. What is Biker Fiction? Biker Fiction has a hero/heroine who is involved in the biker lifestyle. Wild Child Publishing currently has one Biker Fiction novel, Iron Horse Rider by Adelle Laudan, which will be available in print soon. To submit, please read the submission guidelines very carefully.

Freya's Bower is looking for a wide variety of genres from chapter book lengths to full-length novels. With a variety of lines available -- from T.R.O.U.B.L.E. to the Goddess Freya to the Valkyries -- and genres, it's easy to find a niche for your book. Please be sure to read the submission guidelines before submitting any manuscripts. Note: To submit to Freya's Bower, you must be 18 years of age or older.

Any questions can be directed to me.

Submissions Call and Guidelines change

Chapter Book Submissions Call

Freya's Bower is starting a new line of chapter books. These are a series of three, or more, installments of an ongoing story. Each "chapter" must be 5000-6000 words in length. They will be released monthly. The story can be any heat rating, any genre, and can even incorporate any of our series (Goddess Freya, Valkyrie, T.R.O.U.B.L.E., Angels and Demons) Due to the length, they will not be given ISBN's and will have one cover for all installments with the exception of a minor change to distinguish each installment from the others. (i.e. Title one: The Southern Sting: Chapter One, title two: The Southern Sting: Chapter Two, and so on.)

To submit, include the first chapter in the body of the email text with "CHAPTER BOOKS" in the subject line. Also include a one-paragraph synopsis of the following installments planned for the story. Send your submissions to: submitATfreyasbowerDOTcom .

If you have questions email Faith at editorfaithATsbcglobalDOTnet or Marci at mbaunATfreyasbowerDOTcom.

Please read our guidelines for formatting and any questions you might have before submitting.

WCP will now consider novellas (30,000-50,000 words) for publication. In the past, we have only considered such short works on the rare occasion. However, I have decided to expand our catalog to include shorter works. Wild Child Publishing will continue to accept works of 50,000 words or greater as well. All mainstream genres are welcome as is non-fiction. Be sure to read our guidelines carefully. These are designed to make the submission process as quick and easy as possible and to ensure that submissions are handled expeditiously.

Unless stated otherwise, our ebook section is open to submissions all year round.

BDSM anthologies

Freya's Bower is open for submission for BDSM anthologies. There are two volumes from two perspectives: A Rose of Any Colour: Femdom and A Rose of Any Colour: Maledom. For more information regarding these anthologies, please contact Miranda Heart, author of Something Unexpected and Insubordinate, through the AWA site.

Each volume will incorporate the work of five authors. We are looking for three established BDSM authors for each volume. Remaining story slots for each book are open to newer writers to submit. Stories must be no less than 10K words and no more than 20K. Any sub-genre of BDSM is welcome with ratings of sweet, tangy, spicy, sizzling and beyond sizzling.

Both volumes are based on a rose theme. Whether the rose (or some form of a rose such as its thorns or petals) is integral to the plot or merely makes an appearance in the story, it is a requirement for all submissions.

Submit entire ms attached as an MS Word document to INSERT EMAIL with the words “BDSM Rose” in the subject line. Established authors must include a short bio.

Deadline is March 31st.

I have recently made contact with Good Vibes and another sex site to see if they will carry D&D. If they do, and we have enough word count for the anthologies, the anthologies could go to print and possibly be sold through their site and a few others.
